• On Thursday, March 28th, the Kentucky Public Library Association recognized the first recipients of its Fresh Faces initiative as part of the awards luncheon at its annual spring conference.

The Mission of the Kentucky Library Association is to provide leadership for the development, promotion, and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all.

As one of four sections of the Kentucky Library Association (KLA), the Kentucky Public Library Association (KPLA) shares and supports this mission.

Additionally, and in accordance with the KPLA Constitution, KPLA has three objectives:

1. To encourage professional growth among its members by offering opportunities for study and for participation in professional activities.

2. To promote the improvement of public library service in Kentucky and the nation.

3. To cooperate with other library agencies in improving all types of library service in Kentucky and the nation.
